Transplant

In June 2014, I spent two weeks on a solo road trip across the USA from the northeastern seaboard where I grew up and went to undergrad, to California for a poetry workshop near Lake Tahoe. I took many 4x5in and 6x6cm film photographs with my ancient Graflex and Mamiya C330 cameras. These negatives and scans elude me, and I will share them as soon as I track them down. After spending the summer of 2014 meandering around California, I finally settled in the unceded lands of the Ramaytush Ohlone people now known as San Francisco, CA in October 2014. These are just a few recent images that feel like that capture some of the essential qualities of this area that captured me in the first place and have kept me enamored for over a decade. All shot on Portra 400 film with my new (antique) Mamiya C220.
