Paintings
Imprints on the psyche are core to why impermanence is so difficult to digest, and why grief has such a cyclical or wave-like nature. Since 2016, I have been developing a hand-press monoprint technique in which I roll acrylic onto a paper, write a phrase Iām meditating on into the paint, and then press the texture that creates onto canvas or paper as part of the composition of a painting or collage. This is a cornerstone to my process-based approach to abstraction and to transforming my neuropathways through repetitive markmaking in an attempt to offer a healing visual experience to the world.
