Eclipse Pilgrimage: Southwest USA

For the Great American Eclipse on April 8, 2024, I planned a long road trip through the southwest, to explore landscapes and National Parks I had always wanted to experience. Every day brought new vistas, and the turning point in Llano, Texas for the eclipse was the only place where I stayed two nights. The images are presented in chronological order so you can journey with me.

These photographs are all scanned film, shot either with a Mamiya C220 (square images) or RB67 (landscape images). The black outlines are from the cut film - I choose not to crop or alter them digitally to honor a direct impression of the present moment. Limited edition archival inkjet prints of these images are available for purchase - contact me for size options.
